Earthquake Alert is operated by Social Snowball LLC. Earthquake Alert displays earthquake information from the U.S. Geological Survey and may use NASA imagery to render the Earth visualization.
We do not sell personal information. Earthquake Alert processes basic technical and usage information needed to operate and improve the service, including device, browser, network, page-view, interaction, error, and performance information. We use Google Analytics 4 to measure product usage and traffic. Google may process technical identifiers and usage information under its own privacy terms.
Earthquake Alert may display advertising through Google AdSense on the web and clearly labeled direct sponsorship placements. Advertising providers may receive browser, device, network, advertising, and interaction information needed to deliver, measure, secure, or limit ads. Any consent controls required by applicable law should be honored before personalized advertising is used.
If you save My Area, the ZIP code you enter is resolved to an approximate ZIP-center latitude and longitude. The saved area, radius, magnitude threshold, anonymous device identifier, and notification subscription may be stored by the alert service when background alerts are enabled. Earthquake Alert does not require continuous GPS tracking for My Area.
If you enable browser or device notifications, notification permission is handled through your browser, operating system, or device and may be revoked at any time. Push delivery providers may process device or push tokens needed to deliver notifications.
Earthquake data and external imagery are provided by third-party services and may involve requests to those providers. Their own privacy practices may apply to those requests.
If you create or use an account or paid subscription, we may process the account identifier and entitlement information required to provide account features, restore purchases, remove ads, and authorize paid alert features. Payment processing for native subscriptions is handled by Apple; Earthquake Alert does not receive your full payment-card information.
We may update this policy when features, providers, or data practices change. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date.
